Asia Cargo Network Delivers First Aircraft to MENA

Inaugural flight takes off since partnership and strategic alliance was announced last month.

[BAHRAIN] The Asia Cargo Network (ACN) group, Southeast Asia’s leading air cargo charter services provider, has deployed the first of its aircraft to MENA Cargo Airlines, the freight cargo subsidiary of MAE in Bahrain.

Under a pivotal cargo partnership agreement between the two aviation companies that was signed at the Bahrain International Airshow last month, the B737-300F (registration number PK-YGW) arrived ahead of schedule and has commenced scheduled flights to service the MENA region.

Cargo routes will extend to Dubai, Iraq, Kuwait and Sudan from Bahrain International Airport five times per week and is expected to carry an average of 16 tons per flight.

MENA Cargo Airlines, Managing Director, Iman Marco shared, “The early delivery of our aircraft and subsequent commencement of scheduled flights shows our commitment to the partnership, and marks the expansion of our operational fleet within the region. Moving forward we will take delivery of a further five aircraft over the next 18 months to support the operational and strategic growth of the airline.”
